GCP-WMO training

In the Netherlands, medical research in which participants are subjected to interventions or required to follow rules of conduct is regulated in the Medical Research involving Human Subjects Act (WMO; Wet Medisch-wetenschappelijk Onderzoek met mensen). CTCM offers various GCP-WMO training courses that are intended for everyone involved in the design and implementation of WMO-required research. The GCP-WMO exam is a national exam organized by the Medical Researcher Examination Office (EMWO). After passing this exam, you will be registered in the GCP-WMO registry; the GCP-WMO certificate is valid for 3 years.  The GCP-WMO exam can be taken online or at various locations in the Netherlands. Check the EMWO website for the current exam dates and locations. If you would like to take the GCP-WMO exam at Maastricht UMC+, please contact training.ctcm@mumc.nl.

  • The complete GCP-WMO training lasts a whole day (approximately 7 hours) and provides all the information needed to prepare for participation in the national GCP-WMO exam. 

    De volledige GCP-WMO training duurt een hele dag (circa 7 uur) en biedt alle informatie die nodig is ter voorbereiding op deelname aan het landelijk GCP-WMO examen. 
    In de training komen o.a. de volgende onderwerpen aan bod: 

    • Internationale ICH E6 (R2) Good Clinical Practice richtlijn
    • Wet Medisch wetenschappelijk onderzoek met Mensen (WMO)
    • Europese wetgeving waaronder de Clinical Trials Regulation en Medical Devices Regulation
    • Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (AVG)

  • Naast de volledige GCP-WMO training biedt CTCM ook een GCP-WMO herregistratie training aan die circa een halve dag duurt. Door het volgen van deze herregistratie training wordt de geldigheid van het GCP certificaat met 3 jaar verlengd. Eventueel kunnen de volledige GCP-WMO training en de herregistratie training worden gecombineerd, waarbij de cursisten voor de herregistratie in de middag aansluiten bij de groep die de volledige GCP-WMO training volgt.

  • Is een volledige GCP-WMO training niet nodig? Dan is een korte kennismaking met GCP-WMO wellicht meer geschikt voor u en kunnen wij de training Basisintroductie GCP-WMO aanbieden.
